supposedly from what I read, if your state is processed by the Andover or Austin you will likely get a debit card. There is a chart of the states processed by those centers ..... apparently, Mass isnt processed by Andover (which is weird!) but my friend got a debit card anyways. Its supposed to be faster than printing checks?? Cant see how!

I do think that there is a lot of room for bipartisan work and agreement on this. I'm a bleeding heart liberal who is deeply concerned about Trump and leans towards socialism (just for context) - but do agree that in some areas overregulation will create problems and am deeply concerned about the unemployment situation.

I suspect that my initial thoughts of how to resolve it differ from yours - but that doesn't mean that they are contrary. I'm hopeful that the silver lining is that we can set aside our collective differences to assess how different approaches can be assessed to land on a solid policy approach moving forward.

OP- what regulations would impede your husband? The vast majority of regulations I’ve heard Trump rolling back are environmental- which is appalling to me.

As for being over regulated--puhleeze---I work in healthcare, which is one of the MOST regulated industries in the US-OSHA, Fire Safety, Environmental Safety, Waste Disposal,, Patient Privacy, Patient Rights, OEO, you name it, we got it!!!!! And somehow, we manage. (I was the regulatory compliance officer for a free standing psychiatric hospital for 17 years) The difference is that for profit industries are beholden to stockholders. If somebody was really altruistic, they would set up a non-profit business that would hire as many people as possible. The bottom line is that we manufacturing and extraction industries are no longer the way to go. Find a new business model!!!!! And that's where small businesses shine.

Duh. My brain is just primed to think about the environment when it comes to all the protections Trump is stripping away. Thanks for the brain nudge there!

Right now people can not be evicted for not paying rent and homes can not be foreclosed on for not making mortgage payments. The homeless population will increase when this protections expire.
