Default Outdoor activities for 8-10 yr old boys

We have a group of 4 neighborhood boys who will be playing together this summer— all have minimal contact with others and we as parents have agreed to allow them to play this summer. I want to limit their indoor time as much as possible because they can get pretty loud and wild, but I need ideas for outside activities. Ages range from 8-10 years. We have a trampoline and water fights are already on the top of the list. We don’t have a huge yard, about 1/4 acre. Outdoor bowling? What else?

DIY obstacle courses, water balloons, and nerf wars. Cardboard, Hula Hoops, pool noodles, inflatable rings, etc. let the kids build them then use them!

Obstacle courses, DD and her friends used to spend hours coming up with different ones, running them, changing them up, just give them the supplies, some ideas and a nudge and let them go:

Water balloon games, DD and her friends seem to have more fun with the water balloons when given a few ideas of games they can play other than just throwing them at each other. I start with a few ideas then let their creativity take over:

DS likes to make his own games up. Yesterday it was bow and arrow golf. He'd put a target somewhere in the yard and set a par, then try to shoot the arrow to the target. It was just one of those cheap sets, so not dangerous and he did it for hours. Right now they are playing baseball using the slip and slide as home base so you have to slide into home. They also like making their own obstacles courses, throwing a frisbee, croquet, and I think the rest was covered already.

Not sure if this would work with a group or your location, but I bought my son the cheapest tennis racquet I could find on Amazon, and he seems to enjoy hitting ball back and forth across our cul de sac.

Laser tag. We bought the sets from Costco and the neighbor kids love to go play with my kids.

Remote control cars? Mt boys built a little dirt track with jumps and stuff.

We also bought $60 in reclaimed lumber that they are building a treehouse with.

thanks for all the ideas! I really wish we had a few nice hefty trees to attach a slackline or some ninja warrior stuff to; it's all just grass.
