Default Outdoor activities for 8-10 yr old boys

Do they like science at all? My boys are totally into bugs. They catch bugs and make habitats for them and research them.

What about trees to climb? Pre-covid, the neighborhood boys (ages 11, 10, 9, 8, and 6) played “survivors” where they made a civilization in pine trees and collected scrap wood and bricks and rocks and sticks. I have no idea what they actually did, but there was months of fun involved before winter arrived.

Of course, they also like bikes, scooters, sidewalk chalk, soccer, football, laser tag, nerf guns, obstacle courses, and water play.

    We love our laser guns.

Spikeball would work well with that age group.
