Default ISO reasonably-priced bike for tall guy

DH has a fancy bike but he is looking for a beach cruiser type that we can leave at a second location so we don't have to haul the fancy bike back and forth. Does anyone have suggestions before I start wading through Amazon reviews? It would be wonderful if it could fit him and our shorten teen.

Here is the bike size per height as I don't know how tall your guy is. You can also see if their is overlap for your teen.

    4’11” – 5’3″ = 13 – 15 inches
    5’3″ – 5’7″ = 15 – 16 inches
    5’7″ – 5’11” = 16 – 17 inches
    6’0″ – 6’2″ = 17 – 19 inches
    6’2″ – 6’4″ = 19 – 21 inches
    6’4″ and taller = 21+ inches

    Define fancy bike?

If he really has a good expensive bike, he may not be happy with a $150 bike from amazon. I never appreciated that until I actually had a cr@ppy bike to use - Yuck- and I'm only 'commuting' < .5mi!

Finding a good used bike would be a much better compromise. Bike fit isnt by height alone - leg vs torso length also plays a part. How tall is 'shorter ds' vs dh? The upright geometry of a beach cruiser might be more forgiving than other styles in terms of size but maybe not.

I would sure love to hear about any decent budget bikes. At least in our area, used bikes are impossible to come by, right now especially.

If it's for casual riding one with an adjustable seat will work for both. DS has a 6'4" friend who borrows his bike which is meant for someone 5'4". Post on next door in search of, someone may have a bike sitting in their garage.
