Tutor pricing for this academic year

How much are tutors/teachers charging per hour in your area?

This can be supplemental prices (eg 1-2 hrs of math tutoring per week), but I’m really wondering what teachers are charging to be tutoring students per hour in blocks of time, like if you have hired someone to supervise your 2nd grader for the mornings this fall or you know how much someone else is paying in this situation.

I pay DD's tutor $45/hr if we go to her and $50/hr if she comes to us. Medium cost of living area.

I’m outside NYC. Tutors are $100 per hour here. Some a bit less some more.

For the 3 hr./day x5day job, i'll be getting $50 for 2 kids.

Do you need a teacher or just a teachers helper? Our school has hired just-out-of-college kids to do this and it’s generally much less expensive. This is for days when the class is virtual, some kids don’t have great internet or attention, parents can drop them off in the auditorium and there is a college student per 2-3 kids just making sure they’re paying attention to the (online) teacher. We pay $20-25/hr for the teachers helpers
