    Woo-hoo!

I've liked her since before she was AG--ever since I heard her speak at a PTA conference.

I'm a reluctant Dem voter and she wasn't my favorite (lifetime Republican here) but I think it was a good pick in that she would be capable to lead the country from the start and that was one of my biggest concerns . She's competent and understands the gravitas of the job. I was pulling for Susan Rice personally but I'm happy about this. I'm actually really excited to see the excitement about her! It is nice to feel positive about something in the news right now.

Kamala Harris is an advocate for education (despite some people's attempt to misrepresent her anti-truancy program), which I know is an important issue to you. The biggest complaint I've heard about her from the left is that she is not progressive enough, which I assume would also be a point in her favor in your opinion.

There are a lot of negative stories about her out there. I wonder if that is part of the reason she was such a strong pick--the stories are already out there, so no surprise skeletons to torpedo the ticket in the next three months.

She is very pro public education which makes me happy. Not sure either Biden or Harris would have been my first choice, but I’m happy enough with both of them, and at this point, anyone has to better than who we are dealing with right now.

Finally news I was happy to hear in 2020!! She's well-qualified and a good pick. I love Susan Rice as well, and Stacy Abrams, but I'm guessing Biden has other big plans for them. I'll certainly be watching the debates with a huge bowl of popcorn.

I’m super excited! I think she was the best choice by far.
