Default Rain gear for older kids?

My kids (10 and 12) will be starting an outdoor school next week so I am stocking up on all kinds of clothing for all kinds of weather. The one area I need help in is rain gear. My youngest has an Oaki one-piece rainsuit that is great but I know my older DC would prefer two pieces. What brands are well suited for heavy use?

Columbia is good and has reasonable prices. OR is also good--through REI. And Marmot. I have used Columbia for every day and the second 2 for backpacking trips.

We always buy LLBean rain jackets. We haven’t tried their rain pants but I am assuming they are also very good.

I was all in on LLB until I bought some stuff at Costco. It’s just as good and a fraction of the price.
Kids grow too fast for me to pay more.

Everyone in my house has Columbia rain paints (DD and I wear boys XL size). The boys have random rain shells I purchased on amazon (good reviews but no longer available). DD’s rain shell is from Costco, and mine is Northface. Columbia might be the best in terms of quality for the price point.

We've had good luck with North Face, Columbia and REI brand rain gear. Our jackets are a total hodgepodge of those brands, but all of us now have the North Face rain pants and they have been are amazing for keeping us dry in long exposure situations.

I bought the kids LLBean sets this year. They love going out in the jacket, pants, and rubber rain boots and they stay dry. They weren’t too pricey. I think the coats were $30 each and the pants $20?
