Does anyone know of an online place for two kids to play chess remotely? The kids are 9 and live in different states.
Thanks!

Yes! My son has been playing online with friends using lichess.org. There is a “play with a friend” option that gives you a link to share your game with a friend.
A friend told me that chess.com is an option. Both players would need accounts though. I've been hesitant to make an account for my 7 yr old. So his friend who has an account is able to share his screen and they work on chess puzzles together. HTH
Its great to know about the lichess.org option.
Double post
Thank you!!

Also, any chance anyone knows of a chess tutor in case the other kid doesn’t know how to play or just needs a short refresher?

If you go to this page on uschess.org http://www.uschess.org/index.php/Chess-Clubs.html and click on your state, you can see a list of local chess clubs run by local coaches.

My DS plays on chess.com. For safety, you can set up the account to disable any requests and communication from non friends. The sister site chesskids.com is a kid fro option but there I don’t think you can play with a specific friend.

Check out Chess Kid
Parents create accts for kids and they can play each other. It’s fun! You can upgrade your membership and there are ways to learn/advance in chess.
