I can’t. I have to be licensed in the state I’m physically in and the state the student is physically in. It’s caused problems when families go to another state where I’m not licensed as I can’t do teletherapy with them. I don’t know if teachers have that requirement.

I don't think teachers have the same requirement. At least not where I am. I'm in NY, near the NJ border. I know of plenty of NYC teachers who live in NJ. I know teachers who live near me who work in NJ. I do know what you are saying though. My sister in law sees a specialist in NY but lives in NJ. SIL needs to drive to NY and do the telehealth call from MIL's house because they don't practice in NJ.

I thought air travel was fairly safe too after reading more about air filtration on planes. (We’re still not doing it as DH is high risk). But then I read this article yesterday and I’m not so sure anymore.

OP- I think it is possible to test and quarantine before & after but you will all have to decide if the risk is worth it. It is also expensive to stay in a hotel for that long and have all meals delivered. I disagree with previous poster about Airbnb being better than a hotel.... large chain hotels have a lot of cleaning and filtration protocols in place. You don’t know who is cleaning an Airbnb... in some cases it is the owner with no training on cleaning. Unless it is a stand alone house cleaned by a company trained in Covid cleaning procedures I think a hotel is safer.

Thank you guys. I talked to her yesterday after reading through some of your suggestions. She decided she'd rather stay with her "bubble" (of 3 other single friends who are very strictly isolating otherwise) than have to do two weeks entirely alone in a hotel (which would be expensive) as that would eat up her holiday time. To me, that's good enough. While I'd love to see her, I was mostly motivated to get her with people and help her anxiety. It sounds like she has some very good friends that are filling that void for her and I think that's a great thing. As her family living across the country we can only be there a few times a year. Her friends are available all the time!

Sounds like a great solution for her!
