We're sharing a meal with extended family, so yes, doing a combo of purchased items and homemade. From scratch: sweet potato casserole, cold pea salad, mashed potatoes, mac n cheese. Pretty much just need to heat up the ham. DH will make his famous raspberry cheesecake and the girls will probably make some kind of dessert also. I'm purchasing a pan of cornbread dressing from The Chef Store because it's so delicious and I'm not going to make that from scratch this time. I might pick up a costco pumpkin pie because it's so ridiculously affordable. I feel like I'm forgetting something....

I think I may break down and just order the turkey breast meal from Cracker Barrel. If I'm going to spend the day in the kitchen on Thanksgiving I would rather it be spent baking Christmas cookies with the girls (I already told them we can do this while DH watches football, because they are so excited to start doing stuff for Christmas). I'll make an apple pie from scratch as DD2 requested it for her birthday. And maybe some additional sides (she also wanted baked corn and maybe candied sweet potatoes). DH's birthday is on the 28th, so I think I'll surprise him with takeout from Texas Roadhouse. He missed eating out in restaurants and we haven't done much take out during quarantine other than the occasional pizza, Chinese, or Panera pick up.

Totally considering not cooking for Christmas. I want the day off! No way am I doing another turkey if we do wind up cooking. I’d prefer a delicious meal simply delivered.
