DD (age 10) likes Nailed It!, which we watch together. We love the Nicole Byer/Jacques Torres team.
I like The Great British Bake Off, but DD hasn't watched with me. She also likes Chopped and Guy's Grocery Games.
We both enjoyed She-Ra and the Princesses of Power (Netflix) and she loved Just Add Magic (I found it a bit tedious, but I'm not the target demographic)
We don't have Hulu, but my brother Joe recommends the Animaniacs reboot there; it should also be noted that classic Animaniacs episodes are available at Hulu as well, but I'm not sure how well they hold up. (I thought they were hilarious when I was a kid.)
DD and I will happily watch Mythbusters and Mythbusters Jr all day together. (I like Allie Weber from MBJr and recommend following her on social media.)
We're also big American Ninja Warrior fans, but we had to scale back our viewing because DD was using it as an excuse to jump on the (new) couch.
Good luck with weaning off the video game walkthroughs ... we had to lock our smart TV overnight so DD wouldn't sneak a binge at 3am on school days.
