Default Teddy bear for a senior citizen??

My mom pulled some tags from a local giving tree and my person is a senior citizen who would like a blanket (done) and a teddy bear. Do I go with a Steiff one for the nostalgic factor? https://www.nordstrom.com/s/steiff-j...=light%20brown. https://www.nordstrom.com/s/steiff-e...ts&color=brown

Or do I just pick out a cute, cuddly one of any brand?

That is so sweet to pick a senior. I never understood why my mom would pick seniors instead of kids when I was growing up for our angel tree. Now I do. I would pick something very soft and cuddly if I were you. I think they might just want something to hold.

I vote for soft and squishy rather than a Steiff.

I almost always chose the senior citizen nowadays. I hope I can brighten their day a bit.

I work in a nursing home, go with soft, cuddly, traditional bear.

My great aunt was gifted a stuffed cat and as a cat lover it really touched her. She treats it like her own actual cat. I would go with something soft and cuddly.

I would get a Squishmallow. So very soft and cuddly.

Ooh - I revise my suggestion - Sqishmallow would be great! They wash up well too.

I vote for something like jgenie's Jellycat linked above. Soft, cuddly, squishable, and traditional. I figure if a senior citizen is requesting a teddy bear, they would like one that's traditional in looks (rather than something like a Squishmallow). But that's just me! Aurora is another good brand, lots of options on Amazon and their toys are so soft, cuddly, and squishy. And VERY affordable.
