eBags has a bunch of Mother Lode travel backpacks and rolling duffles (certain colors only) on super clearance!!! DS1 will be heading to college in 9 months so I just bought him a Mother Lode Jr travel backpack for $35 (I paid $75 for mine on sale 6 years ago), a 21" Carry-On Rolling Duffel, and a 29" Checked Rolling Duffel.

These are great bags. A year and a half ago, I researched hard and then bought these the backpack and rolling carryon for 2 big international trips that we took with our kids. They handled great over pavers and in tiny elevators. I remember at the time I should at least get a couple of the matching larger size suitcases but didn’t then. So I just did today. They still had a couple of the matching fabrics and I bought them in the 29”. I have 2 high schoolers who will eventually be going to college too. Thanks for the recommendation, Latia!

www.germansteins.com is offering 10% off with the code CYBER20 until 12/1. I ordered from them last month and was really impressed with their shipping speed and quality of the items I purchased.

I bought DH and DS 1 liter glass mugs and DD a .5 liter mug. They use them daily since they are all home due to the pandemic.

Shipping is free for purchases over $99 and $6.99 for flat rate shipping on orders under $99.

Thank you for the heads up! I'd like to order these for my DS too but am not sure he'd need both the rolling 21 carry on, and the backpack too? It looks like both are considered a carry on, so he'd have to choose on or the other?

If you are wondering if he can carryon both pieces of luggage, I can vouch that we it’s possible. Each member of our family of 6 brought that backpack and roller carry-on onto our domestic American flights and international flights. We had to check our roller bags on a domestic French flight but brought the backpacks on.

Yes, they're both carry ons but the backpack (Jr only) fits under the seat and the 21" only fits in the overhead bin storage. I use the backpack as my personal item piece. I figured DS1 could travel with just carry on pieces if he has these 2.

Thank you! I didn't realize you could use the backpack as the personal item, plus the carry-on. That would definitely be a big help.

I watch a lot of current TV on Hulu, as we do not have cable. So, This is Us, Grey's Anatomy, etc are all through Hulu.

LLBean has 15% off and 10% Ebates. I'm thinking of finally getting the family sized toiletry bag. Is this still the best? We are 5 and we drive for vacations. Bathroom counter space is always so small, I am thinking just 1 bag would help. I want it to hold a few bottles of shampoo, 5 deodorants, 5 toothbrushes, 3 toothpaste (preferences), combs and brushes, skin lotion, make-up, etc. I don't wear a lot of make-up, so that does not take up much space. Or is there something better out there?
