How often do your tweens shower?

My kids are 14, and 10 and they shower every other day. Dd1 started showering without a reminder on a daily basis within the last year. Some days it is every two days. I have to remind the 10 year old to put on deodorant though.

Mostly every day. Mine are all virtual so sometimes I find they need more reminders than before. DS1 (15) showered every morning before school pre-covid but now there are times he skips a day and whew, he's ripe. DS2(12) and DD(9) get that sweaty kid smell but not BO yet so skipping a day when they haven't gotten dirty or been athletic doesn't phase me as much. Both workout hard for their sports though and love a good epsom salt soak so that's a nice incentive.

My tweens shower daily. It had become too much of a struggle to get them to shower when they needed it. We went to daily showers to take the fight out of it. They only get screens on weekends but they can lose that if they choose not to do what they are supposed to do. A reminder of screen loss is usually enough to get them to comply.

This is very similar to how we've operated. My kids start doing it before they "need" it as part of their training for when they get older.

DS1 is 15 and showers every night with rare exception (like a Saturday where he is doing nothing all day)
DS2 is 13 and showers at least 3 times a week (after soccer)

Is 9 a tween? I hope not! But my pre-tween DS showers about 3x/week. That's one thing he doesn't really fight us on though.

Daily... It has always been daily... Now it is part of the routine....
