    Default Family gift ideas?

I’m looking for a family gift idea for a family with kids 8 and younger. They aren’t really into games. Their kids don’t sit long enough for them. And it needs to be shipped to them. Any ideas? I’ve been trying to figure this out for awhile and keep coming up empty.

We got a gift basket with fruit and candy from them, so I don’t really want to copy that.

A few ideas of things my kids have liked/would like:

A Disney + or Curiosity Stream membership
One of those monthly subscription services that highlights a different country every month
A magazine subscription-- depending on budget you could do Nat Geo for kids and adults (although the Black Friday deals from Amazon on those may have expired by now).
You could do a cute/fun Christmas decoration item and send it now for them to enjoy.
A variety pack of hot cocoa with a new mug for each.
Some simple puzzles if they like those. They can be tricky with kids just like games can be though.

    Gingerbread house kits
S'mores stuff if they have a firepit- fancy marshmallows, mix of candy (PB cups, plain chocolate bars), telescoping marshmallow sticks; fuzzy blankets for outdoors
Outdoor games (even if not seasonal now) like cornhole, ladderball, croquet, badminton, sidewalk chalk paint...
Outdoor winter stuff- sled, snowman building kit, igloo maker

I know one family has a Solo Stove so I ordered the roasting sticks and will add S'mores stuff for a family gift.

I knew I was forgetting one of my standbys. Which is silly because I’ve been texting with my SIL today about what membership to buy my grown Up nephew! I even suggested the zoo. Memberships and passes are great options!

Yes! We aren’t going a lot of our usual places right now (museums, amusement parks, etc.) but we are still doing the zoo since it is outside and not crowded!

We recently baked gingerbread cookies from a King Arthur mix. They were easy to make and tasty. We liked them so much I decided to send a family friend an assortment of KA mixes and supplies. My hope is that we can zoom to do some cookie decorating together. If that doesn’t work, it will give them something to do while we’re all spending so much time at home.
