Hello- we are renovating our kitchen and building a large island. I would prefer not to see the outlets- where do you hide yours? Thanks in advance!

When we did a kitchen remodel, we got wood outlet covers and painted them the same color as our island. It blends in that way and looks great. This would only work if your island is painted (not stained), though you could theoretically stain a wood outlet cover to (closely) match.
If you want it completely hidden, then inside a cabinet? But that would require the cabinet door to be open every time you need to plug in your stand mixer
Other option is if your island has a counter overhang for seating, then tuck a couple of outlets right underneath where they wouldn't be visible unless you crouch down to look.
I was just placed in the most useful spot where I might likely plug something in, usually the vacuum cleaner. We ordered a navy outlet and cover on Amazon.

An artist friend painted ours to match the granite backsplash, but a quick google showed these https://www.zazzle.com/granite+light...BoCl8wQAvD_BwE
(We have a two level island. If all one level agree to match the paint color.)
We have some outlets hidden under the cabinets but they are only useful for things you don’t leave plugged in. For some reason the outlet over my desk is hidden but I need to leave my laptop plugged in so the cord is extra visible going up to the plug. I would rather have the outlet visible so I can hide the cord. They are useful for hand mixers, toasters, etc that you don’t leave plugged in. I would say you need a mix of both.
On our island they are on the sides, same color. I don’t even notice them

Mine are also on the side. My moms has a fake drawer front on hers, it flips down so you can plug something in.

We have something similar to this
I never use the outlet on my island, but it is required by code here and I figured it wouldn't hurt. If it hadn't been required, I may have ditched it all together. It's just not how I use the space.

Ours is ivory on cherry wood and I should probably change them but I haven’t gotten around to it. I just like having one there.
