I’d still try paper masks. Nothing is going to not trap water vapor that will trap respiratory droplets, unfortunately. They are kind of one and the same. At least w paper you can change them out and discard when they get wet.
All of my family used paper masks while skiing this week, and we had some other options. It didn’t not get wet, but it wasn’t always wet. We used 2-3/day. I often covered mine with my fleece helmet hood, but my kids and DH preferred just the mask.
I’ve for years skied with a neck warmer or balaclava over my face cause I’m sensitive and susceptible to cold, and my skin gets easily irritated by cold/windburn. Paper masks have been an improvement in comfort, so I may stick with them after covid is gone.
