Default Active family vacation in US

Looking for a resort or area that has lots of activity for my 12 and 16 yo. Just a beach isn’t enough. Kayaking, hiking, snorkeling, horse back riding.

Does this exist within a resort?

Not sure you will find one with horseback riding and snorkeling very easily. What activities are your biggest priority?
In almost every destination you can arrange for activities too- set up your own tours too.
Do you have a budget or any sense of where you want to go?
Note that Covid could impact what is offered.

I’ve heard good things about Club Med on the islands, there is one in Florida.

Did you know you asked this exact question this summer? I thought it sounded super familiar. Just like then, we need more info to be able to offer suggestions. Don't forget to come back and fill in some missing pieces. Budget, time of year, general area...no one wants to suggest something that isn't even close to viable.

Not in the US but some of our favorite active vacations were in Costa Rica and Belize. We did all of your listed activities in both places plus exploring ruins, ziplining and surfing lessons.

I'm not sure which part of the US to recommend. There are family camps in the Rocky mountains (and many other places) that will keep an active family busy all day. We often head to the NC mountains for long weekends where our boys love the mountain bike trails, hikes with swimming holes, ziplining, and tubing. We do AirBnB though so no resort to recommend.

Ok. What are you looking for different now? You cast a really big net with nothing to really help narrow it down. Driving? Flying? Help us help you.

The Greenbrier in West Virginia and Blackberry Farms in Tennessee are two that come to mind, although no beaches/snorkeling. But a lot of winter and summer activities. The Ritz Carlton in Amelia Island, FL offers a lot of activities. We went there for Christmas once and had a great time.

If you're in to nature this place seems amazing - https://www.littlestsimonsisland.com/ Not necessarily tons of active/sports type things, but plenty of things to do. (I haven't been, just came across it awhile ago and thought it seemed really cool)
