Default Good Curriculum to Help Teach Black History Month?

I have been teaching a chapter from the Story of the World since the start of the year to my 8th, 3rd, and 1st graders this year. We're doing Medieval History this year. I read it to them after lunch and quiet time. DH was listening to me and said we should add some resources to honor Black History month and I agree that it would be a valuable topic for my kids! Anyone got any resources? I'm thinking maybe a couple of stories I can read aloud to the kids while they read their snacks. They loved learning about MLK in school (teacher read some books and they watched a Brain Pop video). Would love to see what resources you can share!

The Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History and Culture website has some good resources. Also, Varsity Tutors has free online classes as part of their Social Conscience Series.
