We got suckered into buying Samsung package deals for a great price from HH Gregg shortly before they went out of business. I went in the store looking for a washing machine and dryer for our new house and while we were there the sales guy gave us a great deal on kitchen appliances too. Still regretting those choices, lol! We have only had them a little over 4 years. The dishwasher keeps getting louder and louder, making a growling sound. It still seems to clean OK, but it is so loud we can't run it during the day because of working/schooling from home and its loud at night if the kids are in bed or we are trying to watch TV. DH has taken it apart several times to try to trouble shoot and we can't find a reason for the loud noises, so he thinks it is the motor. It took a lot of phone calls to get a Samsung repair person here to fix our fridge when it was still under warranty, so I'm guessing it will be a quite pricey to have someone out to diagnose the dishwasher, which is no longer under warranty. DH just wants to buy a new, more reliable dishwasher. Any recommendations? I've read that Bosch is good, but pricey and that Whirlpool is pretty reliable. Another consideration is how easy is it to find someone to service it if we need that (it seems like there are very few repair people who will work on Samsung). And where is the best place to shop? There are a few small appliance stores around here, but when we had looked for a fridge years ago, they were much more expensive than Lowes.
