    Default Wood-Grain Porcelain Tile???

I would like to replace the carpet and hardwood flooring on the main floor of our house.

I'm thinking that I would like to put in wood-grain porcelain tile instead of hardwoods since
we have 3 dogs. The dogs have really trashed the hardwood floors.

Do you have any experience with wood-grain tile?

We have this throughout our entire single story 2300 sf home.
    I love it!
We have 2 kids and 2 dogs and it cleans up great.
We have had this tile for almost 5 years, no discernable damage.

yes I have it in my bedroom & living room I think I'll eventually do the whole house. I like the fact its not as slick as my other tile when its wet.

    Default Wood-Grain Porcelain Tile???

Another fan! We have it most of our house (sans bedrooms). We really like Arizona Tile Acquea Castor which we put in the bathroom and kitchen in our old house and have just installed it in our two bathrooms in our new house. Dh would love to do the rest of our current house in as he likes the shade more than the current wood look tile we have but honestly I told him it isn’t worth it just because he likes the lighter shade. (I don’t know the brand of the tile in the rest of our house but it is great as well)

ETA: we had hardwood floors except the bathroom and kitchen in our old house.

We thought about it after a mystery leak in our bedroom ruined our hardwoods, but we opted for vinyl plank instead. We still have hardwoods in the living room. I would like to have one floor throughout the entire downstairs some day (we currently have hardwoods in the living and dining, tile in entry and kitchen, and vinyl plank in bedroom), and I will likely choose wood look tile or vinyl plank. I don't like the plasticky feel and sound of vinyl, but it is pretty durable, easy to clean, and waterproof in case the mystery leak comes back. It's also easy to replace since it floats. I don't like the wood look tile installations that have a visible grout line, as that makes it look like it's not wood. I am typically not a fan of tile because it's so cold.

We have it in our basement and I really like it. It's a bit cold compared to hardwood though. I'd consider adding radiant floor heat if it's in the whole house and you live someplace cold.

We love our LVP, luxury vinyl plank. :-) Waterproof and scratch proof. There are also LVP options that look like tile.

eta: we have a big crazy dog and flooring is fabulous for him and his muddy feet. :-)

I find it to be cold and hard when we stay places that have it. It's not my favorite. We have LVP in our last house and I liked that it was warmer and softer. No dogs to say whether they hold up better than hardwoods though.
