    Default Keep or toss - roast

    I took a roast out of the freezer Wednesday night and put it in the fridge. Still frozen Thursday afternoon. I took it out of the fridge around 3:00 Thursday and it was still frozen. Placed in a bowl of water to thaw and forgot about it. Woke up this morning to find it defrosted in the water. I’m saying toss but DH says it’s fine.

    How cold is the water right now? If it is cold and the meat is thawed it is probably fine. If the water is room temp I would probably toss.

    Water is cold but roast wasn’t completely submerged.

    What’s the temperature of the roast? Do you have a meat thermometer
