    Default Hats for Sun Protection?

I've been trying to take much better care of my skin this past year. Finally -- I've committed to sunscreen everyday. Looking ahead to getting back outdoors this spring, I'm looking for some hats that offer some sun protection and look good. I'd be looking for something to lounge around with outside/at beach, and then something for more actives times like walking/hiking. Any recommendations?

Costco always sells a nice looking one, if you’re a member.

I have a Tiley Rebecca that I love. It was a total splurge after my previous hat literally blew off my head on a ferry in Quebec City, but it's held up incredibly well. I've even backpacked (shorter trips) with it. https://www.tilley.com/us_en/r2-rebecca-sun-hat.html

This is mine. I love it. Great sun protection. I wear it by the pool, at the beach, hiking, etc.

I got this hat a couple of years ago and really like it. Although some of the guys from work call it my Punky Brewster or Holly Hobby hat.

I second the Costco recommendation. They have both the big "stylish" straw one and a more sporty fabric one every year.

I'm glad you posted about this OP. I was thinking I'd like to get a sun hat for me too this summer. I did see what was offered at Costco. My only concern is that I have no idea if it is a stylish looking hat. I wish there was a blog post of how to find a flattering, stylish, classic sun hat of good quality that is cheap, lol. I think I'll start with the Costco hat. Maybe i'll post here and you guys can tell me if it suits me? I'm thinking to use it at the beach and on the trail.

I have this hat. Not super cool looking, but lightweight and blocks the sun.

I'm not crazy about the Costco ones - my head's too big! - but they're the perfect size for DD.

I've had tolerably good luck at Target of all places for big floppy straw hats, but favor bucket hats and baseball caps for everything else. I have plenty of baseball caps.
