Default CDC updated Covid and schools guidelines

The CDC updated its guidelines regarding Covid and schools this week, specifically what to do with kids too young to be vaccinated.

The latest clinical update on TWIV also covered the updated guidelines:

This is a good start for those who can't be vaccinated at all. I hope the schools follow them. I wish they would have said that those in the Middle/HS that aren't vaccinated should also be masked. I worry about DS1 even though he's vaccinated. Our country rate is so low that I'm afraid he'll be exposed to a lot of covid that he can't avoid. I just feel like the more exposure the more chances he has of getting a breakthrough case.

I’m confused who they are aiming this toward. It seems to be guidelines for preschools, daycares, etc. Elementary schools also have entirely unvaccinated student bodies, but I don’t think they fall under ECE as defined in these guidelines. I’d like to see the CDC update that unvaccinated children should be masked indoors at school, but I don’t think this is an update to that educational setting.

Oops, I think you're right. TWIV had the link to the updated CDC guidelines for ECE programs but this is the link for the updated k-12 guidelines:
