For the Pfizer 6mo-11yo trial, according to their website it's still recruiting: https://www.pfizerclinicaltrials.com...nce=1000&age=7 (scroll down to the 6mo-11yo study, and click on it to learn more)
Trial status per government database: https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT04816643

Moderna's KidCove is also still recruiting as far as I can tell. Info here: https://connect.trialscope.com/studi...3-0994a5ad8b41

Am I the only one who wants to wait to get my kids the covid vax? Maybe I would feel differently if my kids had not yet had Covid?

In addition to the sites Twowhat posted, this one is also useful. You can sign up here. I signed up as soon as it was available. There were no sites listed at the time, but they have started adding them slowly. I have received emails stating that they have me in the database and there isn't a site recruiting near me yet. I also went to the website of the sites that I knew participated in the teen trial and contacted them directly. One had a link to sign up for trials and one said to email them if you were interested in being in the database. I have heard back from both so I know they at least have our name.

Absolutely you're not the only one! I have many friends who I don't think will get their kids vaccinated as they didn't even get vaccinated. But I also have friends who will get their kids vaccinated. This is a post about vaccines for the kids though, which is why so many of us are commenting on here that want our kids vaccinated. I have no doubt there are people on this board who will wait just like you.

My friend and I were chatting about this. We both ran to get our jabs, but we're feeling more apprehensive about getting it for our kids. DS doesn't turn 12 until December, so I'll have some time to see how it all shakes out, but her oldest is 12 so will be eligible as soon as next week. I know that we will both end up making sure our kids get them, but we both expressed concern that we didn't express for ourselves.

I don't think you are the only one. We have managed to get through without anyone getting COVID at this point. However, I watched it go through a relative's family. All the kids got it (age 15-24), and one has now had it twice in the last year. One was a D1 athlete who took 6 weeks to get back to normal, so while it was not life-threatening for the kids, it was not insignificant. I'm also over the "stay home for 2 weeks every time you have an exposure", which vaccination gets you out of here. Our school is going to be full capacity, full-time next year with masks TBD (but given the anti-mask sentiment in the state... I'm guessing no).

Sorry for the confusion. I meant wait for their kids.

ETA: I'm comfortable with the Pfizer vaccine because it's been in use with adults for awhile. We got a call for the kids to be part of the Novavax vaccine trial and I'm not very comfortable with that because it's not been used in adults other than trial yet. But I would put DS2 in a Pfizer or Moderna trial. So while I'm going to get DS vaccinated ASAP, if it were a different vaccine that hadn't been tested in adults I would feel differently.

Canada has approved Pfizer for 12-15 year olds. Hopefully the US is right behind them!https://apple.news/A_WvzvYMSRgejfWEFjawh0A
