If the FDA is meeting on Wednesday, maybe the CDC had to take it off of the schedule because it won't be through the approval in time and will have to have a separate meeting later in the week? I'm grasping at straws here.

    This is reassuring: https://www.reuters.com/article/us-h...-idUSKBN2CR1V4
"The committee will not discuss any specific products, the agency said. FDA spokesperson Stephanie Caccomo said the meeting has nothing to do with Pfizer Inc and BioNTech SA’s request to expand the U.S. Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) of their vaccine into younger children."

But what about the CDC removing that May 12 agenda?? Interestingly, they also changed the wording so it's no longer referred to as an "emergency meeting".

    Seriously...driving me crazy.

(did not have to click "leave" this time!!)

I'm way out of my element here, but it looks like it's still being referred to as an emergency meeting on the CDC site: https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/acip/index.html

You're right - I was looking somewhere else on their website where it's not listed as an emergency meeting: https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/acip/meetings/index.html

And it sounds like immunizations could start immediately once the CDC Advisory Committee gives the green signal. Woo hoo!

Has anyone successfully made an appointment for their 12-15yo in advance? I've heard of others doing it, but all the places around me require an age verification of 16+. Do I just need to wait for the providers to update their software systems?
