Scheduled for both girls for Monday afternoon! They are not very happy that they will be receiving the second dose on the first full day out of school, but at least they will have time to recover before our beach trip! Never thought this would happen so soon, when vaccines started and were so slow to roll out in our state I figured DH and I wouldn't get ours until June most likely! We got our second doses last Friday

I had a lovely lady from the IL Dept of Public Health find me one, a real live person and it was pretty quick. We are all set for Sat morning, I work and we couldn't make any of the appointments tomorrow or Friday.

Or, I can schedule appointments for next Monday or Wednesday and then the girls can get the second dose a few days we go to the beach. We were planning on staying as much to ourselves as possible at the beach anyways (air-bnb, outdoor seating at restaurants or take out, no inside activities, etc.), but it would be nice to get this taken care of and them have some coverage before we go.
DS1 is 17 and only had a sore arm after both doses. No other symptoms.

DS1 (17) was fine after the first one. He didn't even have a sore arm. The second one was rough, and he was out of commission for 2.5-3 days after.

DD got hers at 3:30 yesterday, and her arm was sore immediately despite exercising it. She went to swim practice like normal, but said her arm really hurt and she felt kind of crappy. But she felt fine by the time she was back home. She slept well, feels fine now, but her arm hurts a lot.

I signed DD up just now got tomorrow, DD is 12.5. Honestly, I’m scared, and keeping fingers crossed that things go well. Originally I’d thought of waiting, but I also want to be done with this. Our family has been hunkering down completely and I’d like her to be able to do atleast a few things in person in summer without fear.
    I’m hoping for the best.

DS1 was the same. He was 17 when he got both doses, just turned 18. DS2 is 15 and just got his first today, just a slightly sore arm so far.
