Riding in a car in COVID times?

I've been driving random people around with all of us masked. I'd be fine with it

I'm leaning towards...yes. O_mom, your story is scary! But with less people in the vehicle and the fact that the other two are vaxxed, I'm hoping we might be safe? Mostly because I don't want my mom to have to drive herself. It is a tough drive and she's been tired a lot lately. I hope this isn't ultimately irresponsible. We will be good about the mask and the ventilation! (Windows open a crack--always fun on LA freeways, lol!)

I understand your hesitation, it's going to take a while to feel ok with these sorts of situations! Given the info you provided, I would be OK with driving with your family as long as masks and windows are open.
