    We've been happy with this one. We hang it on a pole that is not near any trees.

    Much appreciation for the ideas and that obstacle course video.
    Dh had his eye on the 2nd bird feeder in the obstacle course video and I think he feels even more sure now. But, we have a great list of options now. Thanks!

    We use habanero oil. You can mix it in the the seeds (wear gloves!!) and the squirrels (no mammals actually) can’t eat it. It’s perfectly safe for the birds. You can usually buy it near the bird seed in stores. This way you can use any feeders you already have.

    That's what dh was thinking too. We buy our birdseed at Wild Birds Unlimited and hot pepper is one of the available varieties he wanted to ttry.
