I was in the car on my way home from Costco and got to hear the verdict read aloud. I definitely wasn't thinking that the country would explode so long as he was found guilty. What am I missing? I'm trying to get updates from the ground right now!

I know the leader of the Utah chapter of BLM has said they will settle for nothing less than life in prison, which I guess remains to be seen what his actual sentence will be but I read that a life sentence is unlikely. So that may be a point of protest.
I hope George Floyd's family can feel more peace and closure; I can't imagine how stressful the last few weeks have been for them.
