Default Please recommend your weighted blanket (for an adult)

I purchased one a few years ago and the batting has worn out with all of the weight now in the corners. Not as effective now.

I have a few now I cannot get over what a change these have made in my life. We went through two health issues with the kids (they are fine). The first time I got one around the time it started and noticed a huge improvement in my anxiety levels after I started using it, and the second time I had these from the beginning and was able to manage my anxiety 80% That is HUGE for me. I wanted a throw downstairs and have one on my bed. My sleep has greatly improved, too.
I use the 12 lb Baloo throw on my side of the bed over the sheet and under the fleece blanket (in winter) and quilt. This works well for me as I have periodic hot/cold flashes 🙄 and have to wear a tank top with my PJ pants. This one is cooling.
It’s very well made and easily machine washable, which was important to me.

I use this 10 lb. z by gravity Sherpa weighted blanket downstairs as a cozy throw. It’s warm but we keep the house on the cool side in winter so it works really well in the day. Way too hot for nighttime use for me. It’s hand wash only - I would put it in the hand wash cycle because no way am I doing it by hand lol and line or lay flat to dry.

I also have a 15 lb. bearaby cotton Napper to use as a throw for warmer months but I haven’t used it much. It is heavy and unwieldy but that’s only because it’s a bit bigger and much thicker It is knit with openings that allow for breathability. I almost wish I had bought the kid’s size, since I’m petite and this is a bit of a pain for just me. It’s super pretty though lol I got a fun color. It’s washable but takes ages to dry.

DD has this one, a 10 lb. Luna Sherpa blanket. It is also machine washable and she likes it but says it’s a bit noisy. Mine are quiet.

I ordered a weighted blanket from this shop for DS2. I probably even got the recommendation from BBB. They make all different weights and sizes and the quality is great.

I can't believe the difference a weighted blanket can make. DS2 has struggled with falling asleep at night for years, probably anxiety related. He now regularly falls asleep in a reasonable time and is much better rested. Plus we don't have to lie down with him until he's asleep anymore!

Recently bought one for the dog (yes, you read that right) and I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality and price. It's the Sivio brand on Amazon, and I recommend getting the removable duvet cover as well which will make it so much easier to keep clean/wash.

And for anyone wondering, it makes a VERY NOTICEABLE difference in our dog. He LOVES it.

The key with a weighted blanket is to get the right weight for your body weight. I forget the formula (10-12% of your body weight, maybe?) so google that so you make sure to get the right weight.

i got one for DH from Costco. It has held up great. He loves it. I like that it has a removeable cover.

I have an 11 lb one from My Three Boys on Etsy, and I love it! (I’m in the 120-125 lb range) I’m currently out of state caring for my mom, and I don’t have the weighted blanket with me, and I feel like something is missing when I’m sleeping, and it’s so frustrating. I’m searching for heavier blankets or random crap to put on top of me to help me sleep

I originally purchased a 12 lbs one from target but it was very noisy and I hated it.
