s/o what life skills do your kids have now and ages

DSs are 13 and 15 they can
- do all their laundry
- feed themselves (but we would not call this cooking) eg microwave things, heat up food, cook omelet etc
- make dentist/ortho appts
- tip at a restaurant
- write an email (eg to a teacher self advocating) -- beginning to get good at this -- often miss some of the social context stuff (hi how are you, thanks so much)
- write a thank you note
- order at a restaurant
- navigate an airport
- fill out paperwork for school/doc office (not insurance)

DS 2 (13) can
- clean very well (mainly his room)
- has begun to understand the savings / spending thing
- manage his mental health pretty well (I need to talk to my therapist)

DS1 (15) can
- save and invest money very well
- gas up the car

DD (15) is pretty self sufficient
—cook gourmet meals and fancy baked goods
—clean the house
—laundry
—purge and organize
—drive herself to school activities
—put together ikea-type furniture
—use basic tools and an electric drill
—install a back up camera on an older car

The main area where she is lacking is bug/spider killing

DS1 (11)
—anything tech related
—prepare basic snacks for himself
—vacuum

DS2 (7)
—clean and organize his room
—clean the baseboards
—get himself a basic snack
—relocate bugs and spiders to outside (very valuable skill)
