Title Nine. 6pm also has a decent selection.
Amazon has a bazillion dresses if you fall down the rabbit hole there.
Boden
Banana Republic
Athleta sometimes has stuff that could be dressed up/made less sporty
Macy's has a pretty good selection
I lost some some weight and was not too sure what sizes to buy. With try on rooms closed in all of the stores near me (meaning I would need to likely buy multiple sizes and return at least one) I bought a few things from Amazon since most have free returns. You could certainly fall down the rabbit hole very quickly. I started by looking at best sellers or ones with high counts of reviews. Reviews are helpful to take an educated guess on sizing (especially if S, M, L, etc.).
I just bought a few dresses. My most recent that came yesterday was this dress (that I got on a lightening deal) and love it. Not my normal style but with free returns I thought I would try it and glad I did.

I agree, Amazon has great options and returns are easy. I got this cute dress (it's not as short as the pic), and ordered another color and pattern.
I have a few Athleta dresses too, bought resale as I'm too cheap to pay retail.

FYI the Lark and Ro brand on Amazon is an easy way to narrow down dresses. I really liked a lot of that brand's styles. It's and Amazon brand. Unlike the million Chinese brands that all have the same stuff under different names, it's nice to know more specifically what you will be getting.
Boden is my go to for dresses

I really like the oxiuly dresses on Amazon, although I haven't tried their sundress-y type options. Most of them have pretty reasonably deep pockets, which is great.

I like buying dresses from Thread Up, the online resale shop. It’s easier to buy dresses you can’t try on vs. pants. Also, dresses have less wear and tear on them I find. I also feel like I’m not contributing to the fast fashion environmental footprint.
