    Iron shouldn't absorb. That causes inflammation. It is suppose to circulate and needs Vit C (copper) which created ferritin.

    Another Iron you might try is floradix, most people seem to have easier time with it. I have lost enough hair that I have researched it a LOT and talked to several natural health specialists. There are so many different contributors that it is so hard to ID. I finally slowed my loss but never regained my thickness. I am still not sure what to blame it on.

    When DS was having low iron issues, we were told to cook everything in cast iron and to feed him instant grits (instant has much more iron than quick cook or regular). Just a couple of things that I hadn't seen mentioned. Obviously, neither add as much iron as a supplement, but...

    Yes, apparently it has more iron than beef liver and they're capsules so nothing gross. Also, heme iron (from meat) is more easily absorbed than non-heme iron (from non-meat).
