The last one has been strangely comforting this pandemic about historical events that seem truly appalling by today’s standards. So when people say “things are so much worse than before” I can say, “Let me tell you about X...”. It’s also laugh out loud funny. But don’t listen with small children around.

Default What are Your Current Favorite Podcasts??

Spittin Chiclets (not for kids under 18.... a lot of foul language and locker room like talk, but two of the three cohosts are ex nhl players....no one else here probably listens to it, but if you love hockey it is worth a listen)

The Rink Shrinks (I suggest this one for any parents of kids in sports, although it is run by two former hockey players who now coach youth hockey in Massachusetts it is a good reminder of what not to do and what do as a parent of a kid in sports....I have seen so many parallels between hockey parents and dance parents. This one is kid friendly.)

Sibling Revelry with Kate, and Oliver Hudson (one of my favorites was when they had The Property Brothers on)

(I am probably in the super minority here but I don’t care for serious podcasts and I have never listened to much of anything that has been recommended here. I like to laugh when listening to podcasts....they are a break from reality for me)

For anyone who liked, "The Social Delimma" on Netflix, the podcast "Your Undivided Attention" is really interesting.

Awesome lists! I'm adding lots of things to my podcast app.

Here are a few of mine:
    What Fresh Hell
    Terrible, Thanks for Asking
    By the Book
    Stay Tuned with Preet
    Choiceology
Home Cooking (no new episodes, but it was a light listen with the author of Salt Fat Acid Heat)

And the usual faves, This American Life, Radiolab, The Daily.

Also a big fan of true crime type things and CBC stuff - adding to mmsmom excellent list. Love S-town, Crime Junkie, Bear Crook and Counterclock

    Someone Knows Something
Missing and Murdered (Finding Cleo was amazing)
    Escaping NXIVM
    Hunting Warhead
Your Own Backyard - extremely well done, and they recently charged the killer of this very old Cal Poly SLO student murder, due to interest and new evidence with this podcast

Best True Crime series I've listened to recently is "Hunting Warhead". It's a collaborative between the CBC and the Norwegian paper VG about an international child sex abuse ring and the law enforcement and reporters who caught them. Great interviews with families of the criminals as well. Very disturbing, but eye opening as well.

Not safe for work/children but Behind the Bastards and Why Won't You Date Me are both great.

    A few others I didn't see mentioned
    Family Ghosts
    The Cost of Care
    Last Day
    The Allusionist
Aria Code (truly fantastic if you like opera/classical music even a little bit)
    The Cut
    Death Sex & Money
    Dr. Death
    Gastropod
    This is Uncomfortable
    Decoder Ring
Household Name (no new episodes but a few seasons of back catalog)
Under the Influence with Jo Piazza (about mom influencers)

I can't remember the names but I listened to 2 separate podcasts about fertility doctors that used their own sperm - one was in the Netherlands and one in Indiana.
