    Default Boston with teen girl

In July, 13yo DD2 and I are flying up to Boston to visit some friends in NH. We will have 1.5 days to explore on our own before flying home. I have no idea what my friend has planned for us during weekend - stay in NH, go to ME, etc. I’d love some ideas. She suggested a Duck tour if we hang around Boston. Any suggestions that would interest a 13yo girl? Any fun thrift shops, etc? It doesn’t need to be touristy, educational, family-ish stuff. Or coastal Maine? TIA!!

I'm not sure what all is open these days, but the first time I visited Boston, I was a little older than your DD and my favorite thing when we had free time was wandering around Faneuil Hall. There were all kinds of quirky souvenir shops, including one where I bought my dad a Cheers mug.

Here's a legendary thrift shop (in Cambridge):

    https://garmentdistrict.com/

She might also enjoy this market if you're available on a Sunday:

I think a walk along the Greenway is fun, maybe grab a meal from a Food Truck:

Let me know if I can help with anything else!
