Default Plus size swimwear for a 10 yo

Hello, I’m looking for recommendations for plus size swimwear for my 10 year old. Unfortunately “regular” plus sizes (from target, for instance) don’t fit her, and women’s sizes are usually too long and/or busty. We have tried girls plus swimwear from lands end, target, and even Walmart (both one piece and tankini+bottom). We go on a month-long beach vacation every summer, but she just told me she will not swim at all this year, just wear regular clothes and read when we go to the beach. 😰
My last hope is that she can wear (women’s-sized) rashguards together with a bikini bottom (in girls size, no problem fitting bottoms). I would appreciate any other suggestions! I would really like to find something she likes and feels comfortable with…

This hurts my heart. Could a seamstress make her something? Or alter a women's suit? Rash guard and bikini bottom isnt a bad choice. Many girls wear rash guards.

Quick look shows Lands End has girls plus swimsuits, one piece and tankinis. Good luck! I would be sad too if my child wanted to sit out the swim season

Oh gosh, sorry, I read your OP too fast. If I see something else I'll post

Another vote for rash guards and either bikini bottoms or swim shorts. These are popular with my family, of all shapes and sizes. Especially good for the beach but work for pools too.

My family has had good luck with rash guards and swim shorts from LE.

Have you tried the girls 16 plus size rash guard from Lands End? I would do that or a women’s rash guard plus whichever bottoms will fit. I like their swimshort bottoms best.

    These are cute https://www.landsend.com/products/gi...57,46692,48354

Or this top is very fun and pair with any color bottoms https://www.landsend.com/products/wo...56,44967,47381

    And these bottoms or similar

Lands End would also be my suggestion. They have cute suits in both girls and womens. Womens rashguards could easily be hemmed on the bottom and sleeves to make your DD feel comfortable.

My kids wear rashguards at the lake and beach all the time - cute and great for sun protection!

I would recommend contacting Decent Exposures. They can probably customize something to fit your daughter. https://decentexposures.com/Swimwear

I know you said Lands End didn't work, but echo-ing PP that they may be a good resource, particularly if you are able to size up. My daughter is 8 and wearing 10plus bottoms + rashguard from lands end to the pool and swim practice everyday. And I was just think we'll probably need to go up a size before the summer is up. And I hear you in this struggle, I'm considering trying out some petite sizes with her and skipping jrs altogether b/c its really hard to find clothes, swimsuits and everything else atm.

FWIW some LE is available now at Kohls online. (Thought not in person at my local store unfortunately)
