Default International travel at the moment?

Where can vaccinated people get into Internationally at the moment? Is there an easy list somewhere? I know some (Mexico, Iceland) but it’d be great to look over a comprehensive list to start daydreaming some trips. We have one magical week in July that’s totally empty and I’m really itching to go somewhere in addition to our beach trip.

Currently Italy (have friends there now). France and Spain are opening to vaccinated travelers if not already then soon. I also have a friend currently in Romania. Many Caribbean islands are open but they also have the most requirements and some are still shutting down week to week.

I just saw a list but can’t recall where. It is best to go to the State Department equivalent government website of the country you are interested in. The official government site will be the most accurate and updated.

My friend's mom is in Italy right now and my in-laws are going to Rwanda in July.

Here is the travel advisory list.

However there are only a few countries on there that are a level one.

Does anyone have experience with what it takes to prove you are vaccinated? Is it as simple as showing your CDC card or is there something more you need to do to prove it’s authentic?

Every country has a different process. Most require you to upload your vaccine card, or test immediately before departure, or both.

I have family in Iceland now. Had to upload their vaccine card. They had to test upon arrival and quarantine until they got their results. They tested a few days before the trip, just so they weren’t surprised to find they were positive when they got to Iceland and then be stuck.

My sister just came back from Mexico. She had to do a rapid Covid test at the airport in Mexico before she could board the return flight. She was negative, but did mention it would’ve been difficult if she had tested positive and wouldn’t be able to return as planned

Wouldn’t her vaccine status be sufficient for entry back to the US? I did follow along over on Trip Advisor someone’s story of testing positive in Mexico before their flight home but it was pre-vaccine.

For some countries, no it’s not enough. Ireland is still making PCR tests mandatory even if you are vaxxed.
