    Default Everyday dishes

We desperately need new everyday dishes. We have 5 kids, so we need something durable. I think I’d like to just stick with white. We’ve had stoneware since we got married 17 years ago, and I don’t mind the weight of it. I really like the aplico classic set from Williams Sonoma but it is quite pricey. https://www.williams-sonoma.com/prod...src=AutoCatRel Since it's pricey, I would have to add on slowly. The other option is fiesta ware but the salad plates look quite small. Opinions?

We have these from Crate and Barrel and are very happy with them. Good price point.

Someone here may have recommended them to me. I can’t remember. We’ve had them almost 2 years now. Had fiestaware before, and these are easier to manage and look nicer (and easier to load in the dishwasher).

We switched to Fiesta several years ago. I so wish we had switched sooner. We had perfectly usable stoneware from before we were married and I just didn’t think spending the money for new dishes made sense. Kicking myself for dragging it out so long. I love waiting for the new color to be released every year. I love opening the dishwasher and cabinets to the rainbow of colors. I buy from Macy’s and Kohl’s when they have super sales.

This is exactly what we have had for the last few years. I LOVE them. So versatile and durable. My kids empty our dishwasher and are not gentle but we have no cracks or chips. Haven't had fiesta ware so I can't compare the two but I can highly recommend the apilco.

We have had Heath Ceramics stoneware for about the last 12 years and while I do like it I did recently switch to Corelle and I really do love it a lot more than the heavy stoneware. I can pick up multiple plates from the dishwasher and not worrying about them being too heavy. I have the terrazzo Verde pattern, and the Memphis pattern (bought some pieces of that for DD1 to use about 12 years ago when she was learning to eat).

I really like the williams-sonoma pantry line. Generously sized, very sturdy, and I particularly love the shape of the pasta/soup plates. They don't get excessively hot in the microwave either. https://www.williams-sonoma.com/prod...re-collection/

I do think some of these choices you've all linked are beautiful! I think a lot of this has to do with opinion about different features. My neighbor is a Fiestaware person. I am a Corelle person. We both see the value in the other product but have our opinions about what is more important. Weight of the plate is a huge factor for me and doesn't bother her at all. The colors make her so happy. If you have your heart set on a white stoneware set there are some beautiful ones linked in this thread!
