There are so many TNF backpacks and I am overwhelmed by the choices. What TNF backpack do you guys rec for a middle school boy? We need something on the bigger side, with good depth.
[he wants something different than the Adidas Prime].

Dh has had a TNF backpack for the last 11+ years. He bought it because he did field work. I honestly don’t know the model but it looks to be somewhere in between the Basin 18, and the Router Transit. The thing is a tank but is easy to carry fully loaded. The Basin 18 might be closer to a middle school size but the Router Transit has pockets galore.
At my DD1’s high school Jansport, and Herschel still seem to be the most popular with the boys.

My son has had one for two years now (high school) and it’s held up fantastic (he is really hard on things). For a MS kid, I would recommend the Youth Recon Squash (though not a lot of color options), Recon or Basin.
DS had the Jester for MS. It was a good size, has padded laptop sleeve and waterbottle holder. It is not ripped or torn but looks grungy after not quite 3 years (part time w/ Covid). I got it at Marshall’s for $30 so it was a good purchase. I almost got him the NF Vault which seems a little bigger but the front pocket is only 1/2 size and it bothered me. As in the lining could go all the way to bottom but stops 1/2 way.
I just got him a Jansport for high school because he will need more room.
