Default Teen debit card, keeping track of balance

    Hi,

So my teen recently got a debit card. Those of you with older kids or experience with this, how do kids keep track of their balance?

    Thanks.......

Both my DC use the banks app. I have access to their accounts too. The card won’t work if they try to spend more than the balance so hopefully that is how your child’s card works too.

Well, that makes sense... I rarely use the app so I never even thought of that. Thanks so much. Now, how to get my child who repels technology to use an app... We will get there

I use the app. I try not to over analyze as he is saving half his income for a car and 1/4 of the rest goes to a minor Roth.
