Another vote for the "based on previous threads" wallet: when DS turned 15 and was about to get his permit, we got him the Chums Surfshort Wallet. He likes it better than having one attached to his phone, or so he's told me.

DS1 has been using a pocket thing on his phone case for his school ID and DL but the car fob doesn't fit in it and he doesn't like to put cash in it for fear it would fall out and he can't put change in it, plus he said it would be too visible. The wallet he has is old and has kids stuff on it so he won't use it now that he's an older teen. I just put 2 of those Chums wallets in my cart to give my boys for Christmas, so thanks for the recommendations for them!!

update -i just got the Chums wallet, and i can see why it's so popular! the thing i like about this one is that i think it's big enough to hold a chapstick, which DS always puts on several times a day. that's not something that can be obtained by the flat wallets.
