Any ideas for girls backpacks that are good quality but also trendy? I know Under Armour, Adidas, and Nike make good backpacks, but looking for something other than those brands.

Fjallraven and Herschel are the first things that comes to mind. Madewell and Baggu too maybe? I think of them more for other bags, but bet they have backpacks.

Old school looking Jansport is popular here. My first college backpack was Jansport, so I'm clearly in "vintage" status now!

The mullet thing is so bizarre. It's been going on here for a couple years. At first I thought it was a small group of football jocks in my daughter's grade, but then realized my nephew across the state wanted one too. And everywhere else apparently. Weird!

PERMS are also a thing to go with the mullet. A friend's son got a perm last weekend.

Thankfully my son has no interest! We did show him pics of his dad rocking a mullet back in the day. Maybe that scared him off. Ha.

    Fjallraven is still big here.

I hated almost every fashion trend of the 80s so reliving them now is surreal.

I'm in LA and don't think I've ever seen a mullet on a guy here. My kids are both into anime and my DS2 (12) likes to wear anime related shirts and sweatshirts. He gets the most comments on those. He's found them at Hot Topic and online.
