My kid is now in 6th and we've been fighting this battle since 1st. He is 2E - both gifted and has ADHD and fine motor issues.
He has always been happy to go to school for the sake of recess. So last year was quite miserable - even lower level curriculum than usual and no recess with his friends (he had a total of 12 in-person days last year).
In the younger grades, he was motivated by being able to work on things like lego robot kits when he finished his work. I think you need to figure out what her "currency" is. Does she like being able to help the teacher? Work on art projects? In order for her to be happy going to school she needs a reason for being there. Our district has no GT program and the first real chance for differentiation is 5th grade when they can do 6th grade online math.
