Default Digital picture frame.. any ideas?

    Hi all,

My parents are aging quickly. Right now, to share photos with them, I upload photos directly into their Shutterfly account where they can view them and order if they want prints. My mother struggles with medical issues and does not think she can keep creating a physical album every year. She thinks 2021 will be her last one.

So, I am finally thinking it's time to get them some sort of picture "portal"; some way for me to share pictures with them where they don't have to do anything. What am I actually looking for and does anyone have any recommendations? I know that technology has come a LONG way since I started looking at digital picture frames about eight years ago. I would be the only one uploading photos, preferably remotely. Maybe a very simple "facetime" feature as well?

I do NOT keep up with the latest technology, so I have no idea what is out there.

Thank you all for ANY suggestions and ideas you might have!

My mom has been happy with an Aura brand frame for a few years. It’s easy to email pictures to it. No Live video though. I saw some at Costco the other day.

We got my mom a Nixplay about 5 years ago and it still works well. The frame itself has an email address so
I email pictures directly to it. Mom can use also use a web portal to add or delete pictures.

No live video on the Nixplay we have but maybe an option for newer models.

Amazon Echo Show would be good. Or the Apple or Google versions.

My parents have the Aurora and seem to like it. My cousin bought my grandmother a Skylight but for some reason when I try to email pictures to it, they never get there.

My sister and i researched quite a bit a few years ago and got my mom a Nixplay. We loved that all the grandkids could just email photos from around the globe directly from their phones to grandma's frame.
(My mom returned it though because she got weird about having to have it connected to get wifi. So I can't speak to it's continued use or longevity).
