    Default Boden's most recent catalog

Does anyone get the Boden catalogs? This is the most recent one and they really upped their diversity game. So much so that I honestly think I'm going to contact the company and thank them. They even have black people in it with afros and braids, which is never seen, usually just light skinned mixed people with beautiful long ringlets. I've spent my entire lifetime never seeing people that look like me in magazines, TV, etc and it's so nice to see a company trying to include everyone!

That’s so cool! Thank you for pointing it out! (Did you buy anything? I would love to have some fresh Boden!)

Not yet, but I'm totally going to in order to show my appreciation! I have several of their tees, shorts, and dresses already.

Very nice! I also love when there is more than one token minority in a layout

Oh yes, that's usually the norm, so seeing so many black people in one shot was like mind blowing!

I wonder if they had gotten feedback. I commented to MZ Wallace that as a POC it was very noticeable that their models were all white and they should be aware that not all of their customers are white. I've noticed that they have since then diversified their models.

Right before I popped over here, I was coincidentally scrolling through their website looking at clothes for me. I even noticed it seemed to have more diversity in models than any other site I've seen recently.

That’s awesome! Glad to know companies are finally being more inclusive in their advertising materials/catalogues.

I say this as a black woman who still relaxes my hair but yaaaaassss to the braids and the afro! Latia, you are so right. The majority of black models seem to have type 3B hair with ringlets or loose curls. And it’s crazy because braids and locs are especially popular right now.

In a thread earlier in the week about buying better clothes, a couple people mentioned Boden. I was happy to see that most of their items seem to come in a size 18-20. I’m definitely going to spend a few coins with them now.
