I have an old Kindle Touch from 2011 that still works, but I've asked for a 2021 Kindle Paperwhite for Christmas as I'm sick of not having a backlight. Honestly if the new one broke in just a couple of years I would not be happy.

    Wow! That is cool!

I honestly wish they would give a 2 year warranty instead of 1. I read on mine daily and now keep it in a case (Moko or Fintie brand). The only one that really ticked me off that it stopped working was Kindle 3 because it wasn’t that old. I probably should’ve argued with Amazon C/S that it was defective but it was out of warranty by two months.
