Default Does anyone have any good ground beef recipes?

So a few months ago I went to Costco and bought 7lbs. of ground beef and before I had a chance to portion it all out DH stuck it in the freezer. So I finally cooked it all tonight and made tacos with about 1.5 lbs. of it but I still have about 5 lbs. left. Share your best ground meat recipes that can be frozen.

These are two of my families favorites....

I also make a hamburger soup that everyone likes. No real recipe - my grandmother used to make it and we all just eyeball and adapt it. Basically, you brown the ground beef with some S&P, add/saute celery and onion (carrot and garlic too if you like). Then add a can of tomatoes, beef broth and elbow pasta. We always add whatever other veggies we chose or have on hand, often zucchini and/or green beans. I usually serve with salad and garlic bread.

I would freeze it as is in whatever amount you usually prepare for a meal. We love the Korean bowls mentioned above. I always repurpose taco meat into chili the next day. I like the McCormick chili packet for easy. Third day we usually do chili Mac or hot dogs with chili.

I love those beef bowls. I always double the sauce and cook up these veggies (or any of their other stir fry kits, depending on which veggies you like) https://www.taylorfarms.com/products...-stir-fry-kit/ Don't use the included sauce packet. Save that for another meal. I really like adding the veggies right to the beef- everyone eats up their veggies.

Why do you need to fully do the meal and freeze it? Just brown up all the meat, freeze it in .5-1lb bags and then it's ready to be added to a meal quickly. That's what I do. I usually only use .5lbs of ground beef when making meals and then freeze the remainder. It is my favorite thing to keep stocked in my freezer.

That’s a great hack! We double the sauce too but adjust the spices down a bit for my DC.

These are always HUGE hits at our house:

    https://www.dinneratthezoo.com/instant-pot-chili/

And this one you could sub ground beef for the the turkey:
    https://www.skinnytaste.com/turkey-s...eppers-45-pts/

And a quick meal is always to just brown some beef with onions in a pan, add a jar of your favorite pasta sauce and warm through, and make some pasta and a salad to go with it.

I am going to have to try that Korean beef bowl with added veggies looks SOOOO good!!!

eta: agree with above suggestion to brown it all and re-aliquot into the freezer if that's easier!

Yes - I usually do this too, but with whatever veggies I have on hand - peppers, mushrooms, broccoli, green beans, zucchini, bokchoy are all good! Or in a pinch if I don't have any fresh veggies to add, I will do a bag of frozen edamame as a side.

We buy a 1/4 steer each year which comes with around 30-40 lbs. of ground beef (in one lb. packages, not 7 lbs, lol)

In addition to tacos, tostadas, and spaghetti, these are some of our favorites in regular rotation:

This is one of our favorite gr. beef recipes, Sophisto Joes. We actually had it last night with Gringos pickles and spinach salad with a dijon vinaigrette. I add 1 tsp mustard powder and 1-2 TBSP tomato paste.

Earlier this week we had cabbage roll casserole. I used sour cream because we had a ton leftover.

ETA: looking back at this post, we eat a lot of cabbage.
