What an awful ordeal.. hoping and praying she will come out of this ok.

I'm so sorry. Hoping for a speedy and full recovery for your relative. P and PT for your family!
I hope your relative is improving. How scary. I hope you are able to help out soon as well.

Sending thoughts and prayers your way for your relative. I hope there is a positive update soon. I’m sure they know that you would be there if you could.

Updating: My relative was brought out of the medically induced coma. We're grateful she's alive. This is going to be a very long recovery process. And, we do not know how much recovery she is going to be able to make. She responded a tiny bit when she woke up. She is not doing any movements in response to questions from the doctors. We really need her to show some sort of response so that she can get placed in a rehab facility, with the opportunity for a lot of therapy. The other option is being sent to a long term care facility, which would not be good. All prayers and PT appreciated that she will do something to let the doctors know she is responding to them. Her partner said a few times when he'd release her hand she reacted by moving her hand back to his, and has shown momentary recognition of him. We need her to have one of those moments in front of the medical staff.
I finally got to spend time with the kids this morning. They seem to be doing as well as they can be given the circumstances.

I've been thinking about your family and will continue to keep your relative and her family (and yours) in my prayers.
