Default What did you do with all the teeth??

I remember years ago we had a thread here on the BBB about all the baby teeth we, as the "tooth fairy", collected over the years. So now that a lot of our kids are older, what did you end up doing with all the teeth??
I remember reading here about someone who gave them to their DC when s/he turned 18 and how grossed out the kid was.
My DS2 still has a few baby teeth left to lose, but at this point I have a LOT of teeth sitting in little bags in my jewelry box and I still haven't figured out what to do with them...

My son participates in a longitudinal research study that collects all sorts of samples (hair, nails, urine, saliva, etc.), and they take any teeth we're willing to give them so I drop them off when we go for his yearly visits.

I was just thinking about this! I have so many and wonder if my kids will feel unloved if I throw them all out.

We honestly just threw them out. I think Dd2 has kept a few in the little boxes they give you at the dentist.

We tossed them as we went. But, hey, if you gift them too them then they will have a memorable story to share with friends!

We tossed as we went, too. For some reason, my mom kept ONE of my baby teeth in a little box, and I remember finding the box when I was older and thinking it was gross to discover a nasty old tooth in there. I don't foresee my boys being sentimental about an old tooth, either.

    I tossed them immediately. Shiver.

I remember slightly pausing with the first one, then snapping to my senses realizing I had NOOOOOOO desire to have either have my (or my husband's!) baby teeth bestowed upon us. I assumed my kids would feel the same! Tossed with no qualms from then on.

I have a baggie of my 12-year-old’s teeth in my desk. He loses his very slowly, and I think we still have three or four more to go. I actually plan to keep it. he’s my only baby!

I tossed them each time they fell out. I remember finding all of mine in my mom's jewelry box when I was a kid!
